Step 1: Let's Explore
To kick off, it only takes a few minutes to fill in a Mental Health Check-in Form to check if we are the right service for you. This is an initial screening test for depression and anxiety based on the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 and Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 assessments. By taking this test, you will receive an instant result. While this test is not a diagnostic tool, it can provide you with a general sense of your mental well-being in terms of the level of depression and anxiety.

The consultation session will be an initial contact where we can begin to get to know each other. It gives you the opportunity to discuss what you would like to achieve. We can then discuss what options are available to support you and come to a shared decision about next steps. Please note that we have our boundaries as a service. If we cannot support you, we will try our best to signpost you to other services that better suit your needs.

Step 2: Choose your own adventure
You will decide the way to work with us. Our online platform, SYNAPSE, provides a guided self-help system with a variety of flexible support options that you can mix and match to suit your needs.
We look into the theories and knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Positive Psychology, learning techniques of achieving goals, identifying strengths, managing stress, as well as practices to stay well. It is suitable for individuals who are interested in improving their mental wellbeing, preventing and managing mild to moderate level of depression and anxiety, With the support of our Psychological Wellbeing Practitioenr, we offer elements of self-learning (in video and text formats), free online therapy sessions and social connection (online groups and workshops). It is flexible to attend the group sessions. You can also request additional 1-1 private sessions in between if needed.
Step 3: Real work begins
We are partners in this journey. Our work is based on a shared understanding of where you are at, clear goals, and an honest, strong commitment to working towards change.
Thanks to plasticity, our brain is flexible and subject to change. We will make use of 1-1 and group sessions to support you to apply what you have learnt in your daily life. New experience and regular practice are essential steps to challenge unhelpful habits and build your mental fitness.
Step 4: This is not a goodbye but a ‘see you later’
As part of our working relationship, we'll be using a range of tools and measures to monitor your progress. Once we both agree that your goals have been met, we will conclude our regular support. However, you may book occasional follow-up sessions if required.
