Meet your therapists

I am Renee, a Christian, a mother, a Registered Nurse in Hong Kong and a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner trained in the United Kingdom.
I support secondary school students, university students, and adults in Hong Kong, the UK, and Europe in developing effective psychologically-informed study skills, as well as career and academic planning, including CV review, study/job/scholarship applications, and interview preparation. Many of the stressors people face stem from challenges in study and work, uncertainty about the future, and confusion around finding the right direction. I believe that understanding one’s passion and strengths is key to building a meaningful and fulfilling path in life.
As a mental health practitioner, I provide Low-Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LICBT) interventions for clients experiencing mild to moderate depression and anxiety in both public and private sectors. Additionally, I have received extra training to assist clients dealing with insomnia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), health anxiety, and chronic conditions, as well as working effectively with interpreters. I am fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
Previously, I served as an Assistant Teacher for the Science of Happiness credit-bearing module at the University of Bristol. In this role, I facilitated the learning and development of first-year undergraduate students during weekly happiness hubs, helping them incorporate evidence-based well-being practices into their lives, drawing on findings from Positive and Cognitive Psychology.
Currently, I am pursuing Stage 1 Health Psychologist training at the University of Ulster. This training will equip me to enhance the resources and services at Person Centre, focusing on the interplay between mental and physical health, as well as overall wellness.

I am Amy Wong, a UK-based Mental Health Practitioner registered with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Currently, I work full-time in the NHS as a Clinical Supervisor for a Children & Adolescence Mental Health Service (CAMHS); and part-time in a charity providing support for children and young people after domestic abuse and sexual harm. I am also completing a Master Degree in Forensic Psychology.
As a supervisor practitioner, I offer assessment and intervention to support prevention, early identification, and recovery for children and young people with a range of mental health difficulties. In addition to 1:1 treatment, I work at multiple levels by offering mental health guidance and advice for schools; conducting mental health policy audits within schools, and running staff training for teaching staff. My clinical practice focuses on parenting interventions supporting parents who have struggled with managing their children’s behaviours that challenge them. I am also an accredited Sleep Counsellor offering specialised sleep treatment for parents and children.
Before my psychology career, I completed my teacher training degree and worked as an English teacher for a year in Hong Kong. I am fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
